OUR VISION
We are focusing our academy on being professional, competitive and international, after all, we’re originally from Brazil. Our goal is to bring players from different states and countries, especially players from Brazil who don’t have a lot of international tennis opportunities, to come here and train with us to learn professional skills and to interact with different cultures. We want our athletes to come to our academy and feel like they’re part of a tennis family and feel like they have coaches who understand them and want to see the best in them. We especially want to give those who don’t have the opportunity in other countries, to come here and get a realistic chance to attend college or even go pro.
In the next two years after we establish a really strong foundation here in Southern California, we want to open a Silva Academy in Brazil and bring American players there to learn clay court tennis there and expose them to the Brazilian culture.
We learned tennis from our dad – we learned from love so we teach from love. We don’t just nurture the relationship with our players merely as a coach – player connection. Our athletes are our friends, our community. We try to bring our players and parents as close as possible to each other in a tight community, no matter who they are, no matter which level they are, inviting them to events and barbecues.
Most importantly, as tennis is a life sport, we’re inspiring our athletes with lessons that will not only help them become solid tennis players, but also solid human beings.
